Beginning January 3, 2022, the Second District Court of Appeals will appoint appellate counsel from a new appointed counsel list.

Beginning January 3, 2022, the Second District Court of Appeals will appoint appellate counsel from a new appointed counsel list.  All attorneys who wish to be on the court’s new list, including those who are on the court’s current appointed counsel list, must complete a new application. 

The application is available here or from the court’s administrative office:  Ohio Second District Court of Appeals, 41 N. Perry Street, Room 515, Dayton, Ohio 45422.

Attorneys may electronically sign the application or print and sign it before returning it to the court.  Signed applications may be emailed to:  McVeyJ@mcohio.org.  Alternatively, attorneys may deliver by hand or mail signed applications to:   Appointed Counsel Coordinator, Ohio Second District Court of Appeals, 41 N. Perry Street, Room 515, Dayton, Ohio 45422.

Return applications by November 15, 2021 to be included on the list by January 3rd.  The court will review applications in the order they are received.
